oh life.

how you love to torment me :/

all I can say is that the last couple of days have been less that satisfactory for me. there is so much going on right now... and it really all does come at once. i'm actually having a bit of a difficult time with having Ian back home. it's not that I don't enjoy having him home... I'm just not used to having him home all the time, so I'm just adjusting to all of that. plus with my new job, I don't exactly get to see him as much as I would like. but I'm hoping we'll get things figure out. he's been home for over a month now... and everything is slowly getting back to normal (for the most part).

and i'm some what anxious to get my best friend's wedding over with. i love her but being her maid of honor is stressful. ha and i'm just so ready for it to be over.

and I think I've discovered why life has been really stressful for me... I don't have much time for myself anymore - I don't get to read as much as I used to or do stuff that's just me. and I've really gotten away from being involved with church and everything, and I think I really need to get back to that. I miss it a lot (and I miss school too, as weird as that sounds :/)

but that's what's going on right now. I'll keep everything updated as things progress. prayers would be greatly appreciated :)

look who is slacking on the blog front again?

yupp. that would be me! A LOT has happened since I left for montana. well first, I had an amazing time in Montana! I made a lot of new friends and just a great time overall while I was out there! I was even more excited that my hunny was coming home with me! well, we made it about half way home, and Ian got called back to base :( we were already in minnesota, so I took Ian to the Minneapolis/St. Paul airport...and he flew back to Montana...and I was pretty much stuck in minneapolis, mn for 2 days by myself. my dad ended up flying out and getting me, and we drove Ian's car back home to PA. Ian ended up staying in Montana for another 3 weeks, and came home on Sept 1 and has been happily home with me ever since!

AND I started my new job! I started on Aug. 16 and I have been working there since. I am now about 3/4 of the way through my training. I should be fully trained in the next two weeks or so! but it's going pretty well. It's definitely something I like doing, but I'm working to get into the Human Resources part of everything... but for now, I just have to make it through the beginning. oh and I'm looking to go back into school for business management, and that could start as soon as january! so that's exciting too!

Umm I'm not sure what else to include that this present moment... just waiting to get over this sinus infection so I can start feeling better! :) peace out, blog world!

well then...

I should probably get better at updating this thing.

Of course, I say that A LOT. it just never seems to get done. well I guess it's time for an update, once again. so everything you might have read in my prior entry is pretty much no longer relevant to anything going on right now. let's see... where to begin...

Well I have been working at the Victoria's Secret at the lehigh valley mall here at home for almost 2 months. things have been going well... I have made a lot of new friends (and continuing to make new friends since I seem to meet someone new every time I go in for a shift!). unfortunately, even though I love working for the company, they just don't have the hours right now for everyone they have working there. SO, it was time to find a new job. and guess what - I got one! (: I applied for a provisional position out where my mom works (The Hartford, AARP), and if I do well after 3 months, they can make me an actual employee. it's monday thru friday, 11:20-8 pm... and it pays well. I'm still going to keep my job at VS just in case things don't work out... so that is definitely good news!

Oh yeah - I'm not moving to Montana!!..oh, and Ian's coming home! yeah, talk about your 360 turn around. this, my friends, is a very long story, and one I'm not going to share on here, but here's the short version: I'm leaving to go out there on monday [4 days!!] and I will be out there for awhile... then we're taking his car and we're road tripping it back home to PA! and the best part is, we're stopping at some places along the way and meeting up with some of my friends so I will FINALLY get to meet them, which is VERY exciting for me! and we'll be going to a family reunion out with his grandparents on our way home as well! It's going to be a lot of fun and I'm so excited to be getting my fiance back for good! :)

As for school... nothing yet. we're seeing how this job out at the Hartford goes, and if it goes well and I become like a full time employee and everything, they'll help with my tuition so that I can finish school for my communications degree!

So pretty much, all is good in the world of nikki! :)

It never ends...

there's so much going on and I feel like it's all raining down. pretty much, I can't win. things went well with my parents, but then not so well with his. it sucks really :/ i really try to please everyone but it doesn't seem to be getting me anywhere. but pretty much, I decided to not go back to school in the fall, and start working full time to save up some money. then I'm going to move out there with Ian and start up some school next fall. like I said, my parents are willing to work with me, but his... not so much.

but I'm really not all that concerned that this point... I'm never going to please everyone. I figured out something that is going to make me happy, and Ian's all for it of course :)

OH...and my transfer went through... I start working at the VS in lehigh valley on wednesday! woohooo! :)

slacker much?!

I don't even know where to start!

It's been another 4 months or so since I've updated this thing... hmm... well I guess I can start by updating from my last post. Ian is officially back in the states! He got to Montana around mid-february and he was supposed to come home in march for my birthday and a wedding and some other stuff, but he didn't get the leave. so after spring break (2 weeks prior), he told me he'd fly me out, so I talked to the 'rents, and I flew out there for easter! it was only 4 days and totally not planned, but at least I got to see him for a little. that was most definitely the hardest goodbye I had to do so far :( -- butttt, i'm going back out in august [only 76 more days!] for 2 weeks!

I finished my first year of college - WOOHOO!! :) but I'm not sure how long I'll be at valley forge, I'm going to check out a school in montana in august when I go out there... hopefully going to switch my major back to communications... and surprisingly, my parent's are okay with it... probably primarily because they would rather see the money go towards something I'm actually going to enjoy doing... and I get to be with Ian! so we're keeping our fingers crossed for that!

umm I'm not really sure what else... I'm waiting for my job to get transferred up here to lehigh valley so that I can stay with victoria's secret :) but at least its a job, and I know I'll definitely have to find another one, which I will be doing this week! but I guess that's it for now!

- Ian leaves Germany today to go to Montana

- I'll get to see him in March, so a little over a month!

- I'm now in my second semester of college... three months to go!

- I couldn't be happier (well, except having Ian home!! hahaha)
