Time For An Update!

Well... I suck. That's pretty much the end of the story :) I often forget about this thing so I have now come back to update! Let's see, I have... like 6 months to cover? I'll give you the quick version of everything! All pictures are available on my facebook (www.facebook.com/xbluexeyedxgrlx)!

So Ian finally came home, and he went to my prom and we had an amazing time! It was so nice to have him home again! He finally proposed :) - yupp, I'm engaged, and I couldn't be happier! I graduated from high school as well. I am now an official alumni of Kutztown High School! YAY! So after I graduated, I headed off to Germany for the summer...

I spent 6 weeks this summer in Germany with Ian! I made a ton of new friends and finally got to meet some old friends! It was amazing, and I definitely didn't want to come home, but I had to. I got to go to Amsterdam and Paris!! and all these castles in around Germany, and it was just so much fun! It was a nice vacation and it was nice to not really have to do anything for an entire 6 weeks! But then I had to come home...

I got home on July 27th, and then a week and a half later, we went down to Wildwood for a family vacation, so that was nice too! Erika was down there the same time we were so I got to hang out with her a lot before we both had to go off to college. Two days after I got home from the beach, I headed down to Phoenixville for college!

I have been here at Valley Forge Christian College since August 22, and I am almost through my first semester - it's insane! Classes are going good, and I have talked to my academic advisor and have decided that I am going to finish my schooling in three years, instead of four - so I'm really excited about that! I got a job down here at the coventry mall, at Victoria's Secret! so all is going well, thanksgiving is almost here! and after thanksgiving - december is right around the corner and Ian will be home in NO TIME!! ♥

Well that's pretty much the crash course up until this point in time! I'm sure there's a lot I missed but I'll update you as time goes on! I love you all!!

Oops!

Okay, so it has been like a million bajillion years since I last updated this thing, and I will do all that necessary updating at a later time, but this post is dedicated strictly to my digital media class here at college. Out web post assignment for this week is about "blogging" and since I've had one of these for quite some time now, I figured I could just post it here and then copy and paste!

So our blog has to be about something to do with media or something we talked about in class. I have a personal interest in the stuff we were talking about on Friday, which was about VoIP and stuff like Skype and all those fun things we use to keep in touch with people! The reason for my personal interest is because these sources have helped me in my relationship with my boyfriend (now fiance). Since he is in the Air Force, we don't get to see each other a lot, or even talk to each other that much. He is currently at an overseas base in Germany and has gone through one deployment already. Had it now been for things like cell phones or Skype, or even Tokbox for that matter, it would be A LOT harder to keep in touch with him. I even thank God for these breakthroughs in technology, for giving the people the right knowledge to develop these new innovations that help us to do everything we do today.

Our parents and grandparents are amazed at the ways we can now keep in touch with people, how we can video chat with someone who is on the other side of the world, or pick up the phone and call someone in California and have it cost nearly the same as it would if I were calling the person next to me. The revolutions in the VoIP and wireless areas have been a true blessing to me, and every other military couple in the United States :)

HE'S COMING HOME IN 3 WEEKS!! :)

omgosh! i am SOOOO beyond excited! i can't believe that after 16 months i am almost done and in just three weeks - ian will be back home and in my arms!! :) i can't even express in words the feelings of anticipation, its crazy! ahhh! i just miss him so much, i just can't wait to have him back home!

there's really nothing else going on. things are just picking up in school as the end of the year approaches. i'm so excited for prom, graduation, class trip, and then GERMANY! :) ahhhh!! its going to be a great next couple months! YAY!!!

oh me, oh my!

I totally suck at this :)

Its been almost a month since I last posted... how sad! I have been overwhelmingly busy that I just haven't had time to actually get on here and post about things! :)

There's really not that much to update on! lol Things have been going pretty well for the most part. I'm pretty content with life right now. Ian and I couldn't be better! He'll be home in 35 days and I CANNOT wait!! Things have been going so well between us and I can't wait for him to be back home in my arms again! Its so close and I just want it to be here alreadyyy!

But other than all of that, there really isn't much to update on. There really hasn't been much going on. Just working, school, church - all that fun stuff! I leave for convention on Thursday, and I'll be down in Hershey until Saturday!! YAYY! Its going to be bittersweet simply because this is going to be my last one! :(

I am so freakin excited! I have waited soooo long and it is finally starting to feel real. OMGG! he will be home soon! I honestly still can't believe it! My boyfriend will be home and back in my arms this time two months from now! haha I don't even know what to say at this point. I just cannot believe that we have gone this long and now its almost over! hehehehe

haha just random thought of the day. I got an Aunt Annie's pretzel yesterday and the bag had that saying on it, and I wish I could have seen the look on my own face. haha it was weird.

Anyway... I'm so ready for school to be over. It needs to be June 8th - like right now. Actually, even May 12th would work at this point. I'm ready for school to be over, but I'm even more ready for Ian to be home. Him being home would help me get through school a little better - plus May 12th is closer :) Yeah, random logic, I know... but I'm not in much of a mood to do a lot of thinking right now! haha

And for another random thought...

As I'm sitting in study hall right now (jamming out to Flo Rida, BTW!), I think about this morning in Chorus. I was sitting on the stage warming up, and as I'm sitting, I look at the stage and think "wow, I'll be walking across this stage in 3 months" Now don't get me wrong, I am MORE than ready to get out of here, but I still think I'm going to miss it... a little. Sorta bittersweet when you think about it.

I guess thats about all for my random thoughts. Nothing new going on around Hickville, PA... population: Kutztown School District plus a few thousand college students. So much for the small town effect :)

63 days to goooo ♥

I Suck...

...I am so bad at keeping up with this :)

Oh well. There really hasn't been all that much going on lately. Just keeping busy, working out, going to school, babysitting. Just my usual. Basketball season is now over so I have more time to relax, which is def nice! I honestly have some what of a boring life, simply because i'm usually working or at school.

This past weekend was probably the highlight of my last couple weeks. It all started Thursday night when I was online talking to Kevin. We were talking about bowling this weekend and then we were talking about what we were doing that night. I told him I was going to Hummels and then we talked about that for awhile. Then he asked me if he could go. I nearly had a heart attack. haha and THEN emily told me she was coming! holy cow! can you say double heart attack?! so they both came and we had an awesome time :)

Friday roles around and I went out with some of my friends and we had an awesome girls night! We went to Applebees and got kick-ass boneless buffalo wings & strawberry lemonade! mmm then we went and walked around the mall a little and just hung out! then we went to COLDSTONE! *woot* I got something call 'the pie who loved me' - its cheesecake ice cream, oreos, graham cracker pie crust, and fudge! omggggg soooo good! :)

Saturday was an interesting day! Went to work until 1 and then I had to go babysitting. while i was babysitting, I got a text from kevin saying he didn't think he could go bowling and that he thinks he's going to the ER. what?! so yeah, he went to the ER saturday afternoon. I'm freaked out because of that... but then we went bowling as a youth group. They got some mountain dew and amp in me and I was good to go! hahaha I got 5 STRIKES! and then me and maynard played one of the arcade games and started winning tickets! then JERRY hit the jack pot - so we had like 400 tickets all together which equals = 170-ish little green army men: for kevin! :)

Sunday, got up and went to church. Set ALLLLL the little army men up in the front row of church, which a little sign and everything! it was awesome! PK loved it! and then after church, I went into the hospital to see kev. he was excited to have some company! so I hung out with him until almost 4, which is when he got released. So he went home last night. THEN he decided he was going to come to youth group, which probably wasn't the best idea because he was still in a lot of pain! but he showed up anyway...

today.... damn snow day. ugh, I hate it. so boring... but if it gets somewhat better outside by later tonight, I'm going over to chill with kev. we're having a dinner and movie night! :)

My Weekend

God is good, all the time - All the time, God is good.

So... pretty much, this has been an extremely interesting weekend...

FRIDAY: Friday started out horribly. I woke up and my mom told me I was an embarrassment and a disappointment. umm wow...okay? It was all because I wore the same long sleeve shirt to bed two nights in a row. I went to a youth convention this weekend, so all my sweatshirts and long sleeve shirts were washed and packed. I got cold in the middle of the night, so I just grabbed that shirt. So my mom told me I was an embarrassment and a disappointment. School stunk too. It drug on and on. I came home to get my stuff to go to church, and my mom came home like 5 min before I left. Still wasn't talking to me. So I left for the weekend without my mom saying goodbye or I love you to me. It literally broke my heart. I cried the whole way to church.

Things started getting better when I finally got to retreat. Had an AMAZING service Friday night. It was a great opener, and it was about struggles, and everything he said hit right on target with the way I was feeling, but that was just the beginning :)

SATURDAY: Day two of retreat. We had two great services! the first morning one was about how God knows us and what's really on the inside, and how people that we should really be praying for are not ourselves, but the people who don't know him. Then we had a kick-ass volleyball tournament. Our team only made it to the second round but oh well! haha it was fun! Then I took a nap, did stuff around the room and went to the night service. That one was about the "lost coins" or the people who don't know Jesus, and how God is calling us all to look for those "lost coins". It was a GREAT services!

And after everything that far, I really felt something working in me. I am going to a christian college (VFCC), and was originally going for digital media communications, but after this weekend, I'm considering switching my major to youth ministries (working with teenagers and stuff). Its hard to explain, and probably anyone who has ever been to a retreat or convention can tell you its tough to express what is going through your mind and you. It was a very spiritual time!

TODAY (SUNDAY): Last day of retreat :( I wasn't ready to come home. One last great session on being strong and courageous, which is exactly what I needed before I came home. Made a lot of new friends, and met a lot of great people! it was an amazing experience, as always! Then I had to come home...

Got back to church around 3, came home and showered and stuff. My mom called and told me she was still mad at me. But I prayed about it and I told myself it was in God's hands. About half an hour later, mom called and told me they were going out, they'd be home soon to get me, then she told me she loved me. We ended up talking and everything. She's still bring rough on me, but not as bad. She threatened to not let me go to Germany or college.

Needless to say - its been an interesting weekend :)

and life is...

still sooooo good :)

okay, that's not 100% true. i had a somewhat of a breakdown yesterday (ask ian), mainly because things were going good, then bad, then good again, then bad. but things finally ended up being good in the end.

i booked my plane ticket today :) i will be flying out of JFK on June 15th at 7:35 pm!! i can't waitttttt! ahh im so stoked! i'll be there until july 27th!

just sooooo excited! :)

ahhh i love my boyfriend so much :) so things have been pretty freakin fantastic for me lately. yeah, i know, now that i've said it, something sucky is going to happen. but whatever, its how i feel! haha thing between me and ian are great, couldn't be better. he comes home in about 3.5 months and i CANNOT waitttt! :) its been sooo long, too long! i can't wait to have him back in my arms! and with him coming home soon - that means that my birthday, graduation, and trip to germany are all coming up within in the next 5 months!!! ahhhh i'm freakin stokeddd!

oh and i'm booking my plane ticket tomorrow. thanks to the help of my lovely erika, i found a plane ticket (round trip) to germany, for $672 - AFTER taxes! *grin* i'm so excited! i thought it felt official when i got my passport. imagine how i feel now! there is so much coming up, and coming up quick! its all soooo exciting!

far too long.

plain and simple: i miss my boyfriend :(

today has been so weird for me. lol i didn't sleep much last night. i usually don't when i don't sleep in my own bed (i slept over at my best friends house). then i had to get up early this morning to get my sister from her friends house to take her to basketball practice. went home, then drove back out to school to pick her UP from basketball. then we decided we were going shopping - no big deal. well my best friend and my neighbor were going too. so we went to the mall, and everyone else ended up getting stuff, except me. lol so i turned out to be more of a chauffeur than anything. ughh. whatever.

so then ian called me when i was leaving the mall, and i felt really bad, but i had to ask him to call me back because i don't like driving on the highway and talking at the same time. so i asked him to call me back in about 30 minutes. well i got home, and time came and went. so i got really upset because i wanted to talked to him. i was just feeling really down for some reason. i was like totally bummed out for no reasons.

but then luckily, he called about 4-5 hours AFTER he called me before. so i did get to talk to him, and he wasn't feeling that well, so he kept telling me how much he wished i could be there to take care of him and everything - which, of course, made me miss him even more.

i hate being away from him...

hello 2009 ♥

HELLOOOOOOOOOOO 2009 :)

well everyone, it is officially 2009! we made it another year! i have to admit, i am sooooo looking forward to this year. there are so many things coming. i will be graduating high school, something i have been looking forward to for the last 13 years. ian will finally be coming home after (by then) a 17 month separation. i am so beyond looking forward to that! i will be leaving the country for the first time in my life. and i will be starting college! holy crap!!! haha

i really hope everyone had a great new years. i spent the night playing wii with my family! haha :) it was a nice night in, but i still wish i could have gotten my new years kiss! haha
